Most of my work is laminated from basswood, carved and (usually) painted using acrylic lacquers — they are life-size in scale. I have, with previous pieces, used various hardwoods for constructed elements. While I do utilize power tools I also use a variety of hand tools in making the work. When it comes to the technical porcess, I will use any tool that seems to accomplish my goal. Paint is applied using brushes and various spray equipment.
